What will happen when a CEEDTV LIVE event begins its broadcast?

If you are watching a LIVE broadcast, the current viewer guide will be replaced by a viewing window with the live broadcast. In some cases, the viewer will be accompanied by a live chat box for interacting with the guest on camera. The viewing guide you are currently seeing will give you an opportunity to adjust your computers for the best picture before the event. Be sure to have pop-ups enabled since ALL media on the CEEDTV LIVE site provides media in new windows from your browser.

How do you enable pop-ups?

Enabling pop-ups are conditioned upon what browser you are using. In addition, some security software may have pop-up blockers. Consult your software manuals for information on enabling pop-ups. For Internet Explorer 6, From Tools point to Pop-up Blocker, and then click on Pop-up Blocker Settings. Follow the on screen directions. For Firefox users, from Tools select Options, then select the Web Features icon, ensure Block Pop-up Windows is not checked and then click OK. For Netscape 7 users, From Edit select Preferences from the left hand side menu, click on + to open Privacy & Security. Under Pop-up Windows, ensure the 'Suppress pop-ups' radio button is selected and follow the remaining instructions.

Will CEEDTV work with all browsers?

Yes, there may be some variation in viewer screens with different browsers but for the most part CEEDTV works with all of them.

Will CEEDTV LIVE work with Mac computers.?

Yes, as long as Windows Media Player is installed and set to work with your browser. Since the advent of Mac computers with Intel chips, PC programs and plugins are becoming more accesible. How do I get the image in the viewer to go full screen?

Your viewer is set to a default screen of 320 x 240, larger than your test viewer above but not full screen. Depending on your browser and computer settings you may be able to just double click the image to go full screen. If not, then right click your viewer for more options. You should be able to find a full screen option in your choices.

Why are some programs free and others pay per view?

Some of our programs are paid for by sponsors and provided to you free of charge. Some programs are on an exclusive basis and require a payment. Usually the payment is small . Links are provided to give you more information as well as payment options. On the pay per view events, you will recieve a special link to access your event when payment is received. On free events, just access the viewer on the CEEDTV LIVE page to watch the live program.

Do the programs begin on time?

Each program will begin on time as scheduled. PLEASE PAY ATTENTION TO THE TIME OF THE EVENT AND WHAT TIME ZONE. CEEDTV is a global network and times can be tricky. If the schedule calls for 6PM Pacific time, you will need to adjust your time for viewing. For example if you live in New York, then you would need to watch this event at 9PM Eastern Standard Time.

Are the programs free to distribute?

All CEEDTV LIVE events are copyrighted by CEEDTV and are not allowed to be duplicated or copied without permission from the management of CEEDTV. On occasions that we may broadcast an event that can be distributed without licensing, we will let you know.

I have installed Windows Media Player and I am still having trouble viewing the files. What do I do?

All media used on CEEDTV is in Flash. However, live events are in Windows Media. On occasion, CEEDTV may perform routine maintenance on the site and some media may not be available. If so, we will let you know on the site. However, other issues can be resolved by looking at the extensive knowledge base Microsoft has for solving Windows Media issues CLICK HERE for access to their knowledge base.

The viewer pauses on occasion. Is there a problem with the video?

Remember that you are viewing a streaming video. This means that the video is actually download to your computer while you watch. On occasion, the system may slow down due to a number of reasons from more users on the Internet to your connection speed being slowed down by traffic. This could cause the image to stall. For best playing results, use a DSL or cable modem, have screen savers and extra programs off during playback since these take up memory on your computer. CEEDTV uses a variable bit rate on its programs to allow flexibility in viewing. What this means to you is that if your connection speed slows down, the server on our end senses the drop and tries to connect you at lower rate so your video will play. This is far better than having one rate that does not adjust for the change of speed.

I can see the video but I can't hear any audio. What do I do?

First of all, double check to see you have a speaker or sound system plugged into your computer and it is working properly. Then, access your sound controls on the computerby clicking the speaker icon in the lower right on PC's. If you can't find it there, go to your control panel and acces your Sound, Speeches and other Devices. check to see that levels are up and mutes are off for the system. For Mac users, go to your System Preferences folder to access the Sound features of your computer.
