The following services are based hourly. Total amounts may vary depending on the size of the project. If the project requires all of our services in preproduction, special package pricing can be arranged. Please call or email us for our package pricing discounts. Terms and conditions are flexible.

All prices below reflect the use of standard definition equipment using current state-of-the-art broadcast video shooting at 24p, 30i, or 60i *. Please note camera equipment is not rented without operator. All cameras are rented with camera, batteries, tripods, and on camera mikes. Tapes are NOT included in pricing. All services include setup, operation, and breakdown. Additional microphones and/ or production accessories are additional charges. Travel charges are included if travel is within a 40 mile vicinity of our company address. If not, the client will need to make travel arrangements with the company. If the agreement requires an overnight stay, client will need to make lodging arrangements. The client is strongly encouraged to contact Media in Motion for special pricing arrangements for extended shoots. Partial hours count as one hour.

HD Production Pricing
All pricing below reflects rates for high definition video. Beginning in the spring of 2007, Media in Motion will offer high definition production on a single or multi-camera shoot. Media in Motion can commit your project to HDV tape. However, live switching of high definition is currently not a feasible option. All terms for standard definition recording are as stated above with the exception of pricing. The prices for high definition shooting are shown below. Please call Media in Motion for special package pricing on many items you find on our rate card.

Videotape Duplication (BetaSP, VHS,
MiniDV) please call for pricing *standard definition is the term applied to
current broadcast quality video. Although high definition is definitely making
an impact, most projects today are completed in standard definition for compatibility
reasons. We offer standard definition in 30i and 60i meaning 30 frames and 60
frames interlaced. This is a technical term describing the way the image is
handled electronically. 30i and 60i have a video look with 60i representing
60 frames per second, allowing for more detail on stopped frames but giving
video a slight choppiness when viewing fast moving objects. 24p is 24 frames
progressive, a term used to describe how frames are presented on the screen
thus giving the image a film quality. Many projects shot in 24p by Media in
Motion were thought to have been shot on film. This is a plus for producers
wanting to use this setting for a film look. In fact, our acquisition medium
has been used by independent filmmakers in the production of independent features.
**Capturing and encoding refers to several processes. If the client wants editing
performed or just wants material transferred from videotape to a computer file,
the client pays for capturing to a computer. If the client prefers to have original
material and/or edited material transferred to a Windows Media Video or Quicktime,
encoding is required. Media in Motion can capture to Final Cut Pro as well as
Avid Express with Mojo. We can also encode to DVD, Quicktime, Windows Media,
and podcasting. We can perform audio encoding as well to mp3, wav, or aif files.
